As a creative, production, and digital marketing strategist at IW Group Inc., I have had the opportunity to work closely with McDonald's USA on various marketing opportunities and activations. Below are some of the activations, advertising campaigns, and creative work executed for this client.

Since June 2017, I've been working as a content creator and social media specialist for McDonald's USA. Tasked with creating content and executing digital marketing strategies for the New York Tristate account, my content has reached over 57.8 million people during the months of July - September of 2017 alone. Although the account has closed as of December 2017, my team and I have continued to work with the McDonald's Nationals account on new and exciting projects. The most recent has been the McDonalds X Anna Sui 2018 Lunar New Year Activation in promotion for their 1, 2, 3 Dollar Menu

SPICE UP YOUR SUMMER

PRODUCER / CONTENT CREATOR

On August 15th 2017, my team and I worked alongside members of McDonald's National to activate an influencer event in order to to promote their new line of Signature Crafted Recipes. As a producer and content creator for the activation, I oversaw production of the event and coordinated the pre and post-event digital, print, and social media production. 

The objective was to build awareness for McDonald's new Signature Sriracha sandwich with a limited 5K budget. We timed the event during the summer and strategically chose an exclusive rooftop venue to encourage attendance. Most importantly, we paid attention to details, including DIY photobooths, built with our influencers' storyboard aesthetics in mind.

 

The giveaways and entertainment were carefully selected to create behavioral residue; so when people talked about the event, they would connect the brand organically. The event garnered 2M+ impressions and 13.1K+ engagement.

B-BOY ROYALE 3 & 4

PRODUCER


McDonald’s B-Boy Royale is New York City’s largest annual breaking tournament. Every year eight award-winning crews battle for a $5,000 grand prize. The competition features showcase performances from internationally recognized dance crews, live music performances from artists of 300 Entertainment such as Tre-Da-Kid, and special guests such as MC Jin, Laura Stylez (Hot 97), Grandmixer DXT, and Michael Boogaloo Shrimp (Breakin'). My team and I produced and executed this activation to help solidify McDonald's presence in the East Coast, create a digital and social media buzz to bring additional brand awareness to the franchise, and to raise a significant amount of money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity Fund. 


B-BOY ROYALE 3 (2016)
As a Junior Producer in June 2016, I helped with various aspects of B-Boy Royale 3's event execution. During the pre-event promotional stages, I worked closely with the production lead to execute the event's run-of-show, polishing up the final script, coordinating the performer and guest lists, keeping close communications with McDonald's creative team for their suggestions and legal teams for approvals, and overlooking the design concepts, production, and execution of various production props such as the step-and-repeat, chotskies, merchandise and goods, as well as the final trophy. On the day of the event, my job was to hire and coordinate a media team for photo and video coverage of the event.

As a producer and social media specialist, I took a more active role in the overall production during my time on B-Boy Royale 4. I oversaw various aspects of the production and lead my team to meet the client's requests and needs.

MCDONALD'S TRI-STATE WEBSITE

CONTENT CREATOR / SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

As a social media specialist, I was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the McDonald's website for the New York Tri-State branch. Collecting stories and press releases from various inter-agencies activities, media outlets, and McDonalds National team, I kept readers updated with the latest news from McDonald's East Coast. My responsibilities also included creating and searching for relevant digital assets, coordinating with McDonalds National's to push national stories ands ads, and producing relevant creatives to enhance the aesthetic of the website. 

Furthermore, in November 2017, our agency took the initiative to revamp the website - overhauling the old design for a more user and mobile friendly layout. Working alongside our client and various web developers over the course of several months, our team presented a fresh, 'millennial-ized' version.

MCDONALD'S X ANNA SUI LUNAR NEW YEAR

In celebration of the return of the McDonald's dollar menu, McD collaborated with internationally renowned fashion designer Anna Sui for a special-edition Lunar New Year red envelope release. As a creative working on this activation, I lead the video production and executed the announcement video for the National website. Below is the final content.
